Our Green Policy
Old Pines is located in one of the most naturally beautiful areas of the UK and we are commited to preserving the environment around us. That is why we actively recycle as much of our waste as possible. Our green policy includes: 1. Composting all our kitchen waste 2. Using leftover bread and vegetables for our chickens 3. Recycling glass, cans, paper, cardboard and juice cartons 4. Waste oil is recycled by a local firm 5. Using eco-friendly cleaning products 6. Limiting the use of water and electricity through low-voltage bulbs and short wash cycles We also have a reedbed which purifies our waste water before it is returned to the stream in the garden and our electricity supplier produces power from 100% renewable resources.
